About Martin Grassl
After his studies at the
University of Music and Performing Arts, Munich, Martin Grassl first worked as an arranger and musician for numerous well-known pop artists such as
Al Bano & Romina Power, Hans Hartz, Fancy or G.G. Anderson.
Since 1990 he has been working as a film composer with a focus on feature films, documentaries and TV series. His music can be heard in
television movies and series such as
Tatort,
Marienhof or
SOKO Kitzbühel and has been
awarded various prizes. Since 2017, he has been
publishing his own works.
In addition, Martin Grassl has been teaching at a high school in Munich for over 40 years.

After his studies, a band career and various successful arranging activities, Grassl has dedicated himself to film music since 1990. The focus is on feature films, documentaries, but especially series - from the daily soap Marienhof or the crime series SOKO Kitzbühel.
Martin Grassl has also been awarded prizes for his film music. These include the Gold Remi Award 2015 of the Houston International Film Festival and the Golden Score Award 1996.
